In
a varied and exciting career, CEO Allan King®
has interviewed world leaders and pop stars, and people from
just about every walk of life in between!
Among his many on-air discussions with political and business
leaders, Allan obtained the first television interview with
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams the day after the London
Docklands bombing broke the IRA cease-fire in 1996.
Other notable stories he has anchored include the signing
of the Good Friday Agreement on Northern Ireland, IRA
arms decommissioning, many elections, and the globalization
protests in Seattle which turned into riots.
In
the 1970's and 80's Allan® was a familiar
voice on national commercial radio as a main newsreader with
IRN (Independent Radio News), and in London presented
a range of programmes on LBC Radio. He moved into television
news in 1990 when he joined BSB as a presenter. In
1991 he became Head of News at London's Melody FM,
and joined Sky News two years later.
He currently runs Media Training courses for British diplomats
